Pr keeps freezing on fresh PC 12.1.2.69
Hi!
I changed my MacBook Pro for PC. I Build it just for Premiere but I can't use it...
PC Specs:
CPU: Intel i7-8700K (at this moment no OC)
Mother Board: ASRock Killer SLI Z370
GPU: Palit GTX 1060 StormX 6Gb
RAM: Ballistix Sport 3000Mhz (no XMP so i belive its 2444Mhz) 32Gb
Drives:
- Samsung 970 Evo 250Gb M.2 for OS and Software
- Samsung 970 Evo 250Gb M.2 for Movie clips, Projects Files, Audio Files etc.
- Samsung 860 Evo 250Gb SATA III for Media Cache (Also I created 48Gb of Page File)
- Barracuda 2TB 256Mb SATA III for Archive
OS: Windows 10 1809
Problem:
For couple minutes Pr works as it should work but then random freezes happens. Symptom is:
- no preview on thumbnails in bins (it becomes blac as soon as I hover mouse)
- not working spacebar nor play button to play timeline
- no preview in source monitor
- no audio/no video
- sometimes Pr freezes when I'm trying to export movie. Pop-up window that should show progress of render also becomes white and as soon as I hit
windows pops-up window with option to kill process or wait.
Then I'm becoming mad and start bashing mouse button or keyboard. Screen becomes white and I have to force quit in order to run it back. In two hours it happened more than 8 times...
Things I did/checked already:
- Software:
- I created page file worth of 48Gb (1.5 x RAM) on Media Cache drive
- I changed in Project Menager form rendering on CUDA cores to software acceleration
- Updated and Downgraded Pr (it started with Premiere Pro CC 2019, then I decided to go back because this build works non Mac like charm)
- Installed all drivers from Manufacturer's websites (GPU, Mother Board)
- removed all apps form ASRock (somebody told me that Gigabyte and ASRock are making worthless software that sometimes causes issues)
- Hardware:
- I swapped GPU slot on mother board
- I did OC CPU and RAM, somebody told me to go back to stock values (was 4.8Ghz on CPU and 3000Mhz on RAM, is 3.6Ghz on CPU and 2444Mhz on RAM)
Non of these helped me. I have big project to do and instead doing this on new machine I still have to use my old Macbook. This is ridiculus and I can't find any solution...
Please help me!
