ever since upgrading to Mac OS high sierra, premierpro crashes like crazy. I'll only be doing simple tasks like dragging a still to the timeline, or using the handles to expand the time of a png graphic. does not matter what I am doing, its very random and happens so much now premier is almost unusable.
mac os 10.13.1
16GB ram
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
before high sierra upgrade was perfectly fine...used almost every day. now its garbage.
went through this before with Adobe and it forced our shop to convert to FCP.....dont make me do that again, please.

also discovered that Media Encoder does not work. you load a file, pick your settings and click play and nothing happens. plenty of RAM, not running any other apps. rebooted- same problem. uninstalled and re-installed. same problem. have a media encoder CS6 version of premier and encoder on my macbook and those work fine.

Is Premiere better now? Does it crash frequently when trimming or moving clips in the timeline?

The past two days it has been stable, yes. not sure what transpired(adobe update, apple update)? and now media encoder suddenly works.

The same happens to me. Since I upgraded to High Sierra, both Premiere CC2017 and 2018 are crashing randomly. It's annoying.

My Mac has had Kernel Panics and restarts (and sometimes it just logs out the user and closes everything instead of the full restart, as well).
I was having a lot of success (read: few to no crashes) for the last 5 weeks on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G1036) with CUDA 9.0.222 — then I did I security update to 10.12.6 (16G1114) and things went wonky again. CUDA 387.99 (the current latest version) caused me a lot of crashes so I have stuck with 9.0.222.
I'm cutting on a Mac Pro 5,1 with GTX 1070.

I replace the external usb hub and it worked. I also did some updates that may have helped but I think my usb hub was to slow because the applications were running real slow also but that fixed it. Or at least it seemed to correlate with the issues stopping.
