Premiere 23.6 stalling when doing insert edits on timeline

I have an M1 Ultra Mac Studio in Premiere 23.6 whenever I do an insert edit or do ripple edits on the timeline the app stalls out for around 5 seconds with the spinning ball. If I just move a few clips it doesn't happen but if it's an aciton that effects all the clips down the timeline it stalls.
Any idea on what I can do to fix this? See screen recording.

I read your note. I have read of similar issues with certain systems. See this post: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-discussions/adobe-freezes-everytime-i-ripple-delete/m-p/14039726#M473858 That user rolled back a version to be free of this issue.

Hmm I had this issue with 23.5 and just upgarded to 23.6 and it's still there. Weird bug I guess 😕😕

I had it in an earlier version and it just randomly went a way and has come back again.

Okay thanks! I notice if I just have a few clips on the timeline the issue doesn't really happen.

If I have an hour worth or so of footage than it's much worse.
