Premiere 23 extremely slow and CPU-consuming // comparison to Premiere 22

Hello there,

i have (as have many apparently) extreme performance issues with Premiere 23.

So I installed both, 22 and 23, parallel on my mac, and loaded an older project in each instance.

Scenario:

Premiere 22 is focussed and plays timeline.

Premiere 23 is idle and in the background.

This is what the CPU has to say to this:

If I now shift 23 into focus and play the timeline and send 22 to idle, this happens:

Premiere 22 is idle at 0,1% CPU.

How is that possible and what can be done to fix it.

Both installations are clean and with resetted preferences and cleared caches.

My specs:

Thanks, Hauke

This is a serious question for the company's engineers. I support the question and say that now Premiere 23.1 is not usable at all. Do something Adobe. Everyone is already tired of errors and failures in every Pr update. When will the disrespect for users stop? "The ship is already off the coast..."

Yes!  I have deadlines and I am completely stuck--can't edit at all this way.  WOuld love to have a stable platform that isn't always changing.
