I've been working on a few video projects for a client of mine and waiting for their approval on subtitle revisions. I sent them the last revisions 2 weeks ago ONLY making revisions to the subtitles because it was at picture lock. When I opened up Adobe Project A today, the video was out of sync with the audio. The audio is syncing up with the subtitles, but the video is not syncing with the audio. I know the last edit I made was just a subtitle revision, so I checked all of the videos throughout the timeline and they're all a few seconds lagging from the audio. I decided to open up another Adobe Project File B with this same client and weirdly that one was also out of sync. I decided to open up another Adobe Project C that isn't the same client, and the audio/video is also out of sync!! and for sure I haven't touched that last Adobe Project File C since last year knowing that everything was exported properly.
Here are the attempts I made to resolve this with none of them working:
restarted adobe premiere
Uninstalled Adobe Premiere 24.2.1 and installed an older Adobe Premiere 24.1 and 23.3
rendered the timeline so playback speed runs smoothly
adjusted playback resolution to 1/4 and 1/2
opened the project files on Adobe Premiere using Beta 24.4 AND 24.3
opened up past files that I know I haven't touched in a while and they are also out of sync
checked my sequence settings to make sure the timeline was in the right frames per rate
Anybody else experiencing this??? Any alternative solutions??? I really don't want to resync everything again and hoping this is just a weird big bug that can be fixed. PLEASE HELP!

I have a similar problem. The audio is out of sync with the video. An Adobe agent (2024-08-05) tried to find the problem by taking control of my computer, without success. He installed a version of Premiere from 2022 and the problem was there too. He referred the case to another agent (whom I spoke to on 2024-08-09) who was supposed to call me back this morning and I did not receive the call. After several tests, I believe that the problem is at the playback level. The video files play without problem outside the software and are not out of sync when exported. However, in Premiere I try to play a single file without any added effects. I am used to multi-camera editing and I did not have this problem before. The graphics card is up to date. The rendering system is GPU Mercury Playback Engine (CUDA). I have several pending edits and this is a big problem because this desynchronization prevents me from editing. It would be appreciated to know what to do or who to contact to have a follow-up to resolve this problem. (Sorry for the quality of English, I am French-speaking.)
