premiere crashes when i try to open a project given to me by another editor

hi

im using the latest version of premiere

i need to edit a project created by another editor

the project was given to me on a hard drive with the relevant footage etc on it

from what i can tell, his projects were also edited in premiere pro 2019

when i try to open this project premiere crashes every time

if i try to import a sequence the same thing happens

any ideas ?

Can you open the project without any media attached? Ie. copy the prproj file onto your desktop and open it without the hard drive attached. If it doesn't open then it's not media related.

When Premiere crashes, click the button that says something like "See what information is included in this report", and post the log.

Try to copy the project and the relevant footage to internal drive (besides the main one)
