Premiere doesn"t open (stops on "BCC Layerdeformer.bundle)

Hello, I just updated my OS (on mac) to Big Sur, in order to update Premiere as well. My old 14.5 version opens without problem, but if I try to install some new versions (15.2, 15.4.1, 22), it never opens, and I see that it quits always when looking for "BCC layerdeformer.bundle"... Have you an idea about this ?

Thanks !

Florence

BCC indicates Boris Continuum plugins ... so first check to see that your current version of Boris Continuum is compatible with your version of Premiere Pro AND Big Sur. You should find compatibility notes at Boris.

Hi and thank you. I didn't use Boris plug ins, I didn't purchase any subscription so I guess it s maybe an old trial or free pack? Sorry but I don t know how it works. Does premiere have/install some basic boris fx or can I just check where they are and throw them?

Yay ! It works ! I just desinstall Boris Continuum. Thanks a lot, I didn't remember at all having installed this... I wouldn't have solved the problem without you, so a huge thanks, again!

Great news and thanks for posting your results. I may go through and remove some old plugins too, before I upgrade to Big Sur ... as I'm considering updating during the next few (quieter) weeks.

This was my issue too, but I had to do a little more work to get it to stop scanning BCC, then finally on startup it said "Do you want me to disable this specific BCC filter". I clicked Disable, but PP still hung. I Force Quit it then reopend and it was good from there! Thank you!!
