As if in a puff of smoke. Just as I was adjusting the curves of a master clip in my bin window.
Boom. Gone in a flash. No hanging, no error message, no warning, no clues or signs...
It's a new fatal error or major bug every few days for me.
How rigorous is Premiere's software testing phase before public release?
Also any tips how to make Premiere any less volatile / more trustworthy / more like a professional software experience would be welcome.
Thanks

Judging from the way posts here have dropped to the lowest level in years since 12.1.2 was released last Monday, for most users this seems a rather stable release.
Which doesn't help you if you're still hit by something of course.
What happened to you is a pretty rare thing. How about starting with your gear, then media plus effects and/or 3rd party plugins/apps involved.
See if we can troubleshoot what's nailing you.

Hello,
Yes - I'm using latest Win 10 home. MSI GT72QE.
i7 (4710Q), 32gb RAM, nVidia 980m (latest driver)
Footage shot on Canon 7D and Sony a7sII (which is the master clip I'm modifying the curves on)
Thanks guys

Thanks for your replies already (despite my tantrummy post) I see Adobe just released an update, I'm going to try that.
I realised it wasn't happening until I
with it maximized, any changing of curves in Lumetri causes a crash.
Important note: this is when program pane is in Display mode > Multi camera (and as I say, maximized. Or I think, full screen. Either causes the crash)
Anyway, I'll try update and report back..

Will be waiting to hear ... sometimes PrPro has been clunky with a second monitor depending on the OS and scaling choices and/or gue time of high tide ...
And we all need to rant at times, it's cool ... 😉

There was an PP update which came out very recently , maximum within 48 hours, do you have this update ? maybe after that your issue will be solved

I just checked Creative Cloud and it says I'm all up to date.
I was just creating a screencast for you guys to see, of me reproducing the issue, but I didn't even get to colour grading the source clip (one of the angles in my multicam sequence) I just accidentally started grading the multicam sequence itself.
Exactly the same thing though. Lumetri curves + mutlicamera view active in the monitor = instant crash and burn:

How do you colour grade

With that problem, you ain't gonna do much Lumetri. Most users aren't having Lumetri and workspace problems, so it's slick.
Which is why we all want to get your problem sorted out, get you and the (relatively) few others still being hit by this working.A couple of the engineers have been on this U2U forum the last few days asking for information from others reporting this. So "they" are aware and pushing on it.
Also if you haven't, file that very good report in ther UserVoice system to make sure all the team has access.

Cheers Neil,
You mean here?
https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro
I don't see a way to fill in a bug report there, if that's what you meant?

Down along the right side is a box with a Search bar at the top. You can use that to find other similar posts to problems like yours.
"How can we improve Premiere Pro" is the main part to enter new things ... where it says "Enter your idea" is the place you start typing.
