Premiere Pro 14.3.2 is now available for download from the Creative Cloud desktop app. This update includes several bug fixes and performance improvements. It is recommended for all users.

Here is what we've fixed in version 14.3.2

  • Motion scaling keyframes shift outside the clip boundaries when nested sequence is flattened.
  • Time remapping keyframes are not preserved when flattening multi-cam.
  • Marquee selection in freeform view does not respect selection order when adding to sequence.
  • Sending sequence to Audition from a production creates a duplicate project.
  • Improved stability when hovering or clicking the sequence menu.
  • Optimization of right to left keyboard entry workflows.
  • NDI driver selected as default on clean preferences leads to no audio output.

Is it only me or premiere's latest upgrade will not render timeline and monitor stopped working? What is going on with Premiere????? Like others I'm opting for alternative very soon..

Working on my project, 3 episodes were finished, finalized, color corrected etc.. Now I can't export or render the time line as it freezes and I have to close from task manager..

Anybody else with this issue?

My system has Nvidia 2080 with 6gb vram and 16 GB DDR..

why are you updating at a critical moment in your workflow? Premiere
is an extremely complex piece of software and it has to work on a vast
variety of hardware and software and it's always a good idea to wait a
bit before updating. There's no reason why you can't keep working in
the previous version that was working... and there's no reason why
you can't keep multiple versions of the software on your system. If
you deleted the previous version when you did the update, you can
still reinstall it using the adobe creative cloud app.. Just go down
to the three dots to the far right of premiere in the creative cloud
app and reinstall the version that was apparently working for you
without issues.

With the last two updates, Premiere won't even preview the footage on my timeline. The rendering is also very slow. The problem is NOT my computer, since its configuration is made for video editing and before the last two updates everything - including the software, then - was working perfectly. I already created proxies, changed the rendering configuration, nothing works. Could you please, please fix this, I already lost 2 days of work.

Although adobe employees do sometimes pitch in here, this is mainly a forum for users.  As a courtesy to the people here who are trying to help, please let us know your system specs and what your source properties and sequence settings are.  And although your system specs may be more than sufficient, there are many other things that can cause these problems, some of the in the adobe domain, some in the OS or other installed hardware or applications.

If the problem is only occuring in the last 2 updates, please revert to the last version that was working for you.  You can always keep the older versions on your system when you update, but the recent versions are still available for downloading in the creative cloud app.

Here's a very useful article about the issues that arise with playback and how to see the cause of the bottleneck in the timeline.

This update still has serious playback lag issues. It stalls when I press play. Then when I press stop it does not stop until about 10 seconds after I press stop -- landing the playhead somewhere random on the timeline.

I am including the specs to my machine (image below) as a way to skip past the obligatory "did you change your playback settings to the lowest and most unwatchable setting?" questioning by the engineering team.

Quicktime as well as quicktime finder preview play my video files rock solid. My old and un-updated version of Premiere (on another older 2011 machine) plays my video files rock solid. This new version should be able to as well.

Please honestly address and fix this issue. It is critical to be able to accurately start and stop the playhead when doing video editing.

Thanks,
Rob.

There is a big difference in the demands on the system when playing a video file within quicktime player and from within an editing application.

I see you have 2 graphic cards installed.  I have seen a number of posts reporting problems with how premiere handles the 2 graphic cards.  You might do some searching to here to find how to handle this...

Were you seeing better perforomance in an earlier version of premiere?  If so, you can install the latest version of 2019, and earlier versions of 2020 using the adobe creative cloud app.  Might be a useful workaround for you.

Please fix the R5 H265 weird colours issue. Every few versions Premiere will go back to the whacky colours since the 1Dxiii was launched!

In my opinion, don't shoot H.265 or use  DaVinci Resolve

This update broke the link media function for me. I'm getting the ""the selected file cannot be linked because its type does not match the original file"" with files I've been using the same way for the longest time. I'm matching the exact name and file type in the link media option and I continue to get this error.

PPv14.3.2 will not launch at all? Not creating a crash report as well? How do I de-bug? Thank you.

Hi Sutomo,

Try resetting preferences. That usually helps a macOS crash on launch with a new version. Also inspect your plug-ins, are all of them compatible with your system and this new version of Premiere Pro? These are the top reasons, IMO, you may be having this trouble. Come back if that is not working.

Thank you Kevin. I found the plug-in that was incompatible. Will report to developer. PPv14.3.2 is opening now. Cheers!

Hey Matthew,

There are always performance improvements. What kind of footage are you using? That can matter a lot. We also need your complete computer specs. Also, make sure you have a 2nd SSD for media. That helps. Please return w/ info so we can help.

small problem here, sometimes you can not rename the new bin folder.   You have to REBOOT the project.

Thanks for the report, Alex. I'll try to reproduce the issue. If I can, let's get a bug filed.
