Premiere Pro 2022 not dissabling snap. Magnet remains on

I need to move audio/video so it aligns with other tracks. The S key and/or magnet does not make any difference. In other words, track is still snapping to set increments. Help.

Disabling snap works fine for me in Premiere Pro 2022 (v22.1.2). Check if any update is available for premiere pro in the creative cloud app.

You can try to reset premiere pro preferences which might help to fix the issue, follow this step: -

  • Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. You can release the Alt key or Option key when the splash screen appears.

You can also try to nudge the clips frames by frame by selecting them and using ctrl+ arrows (left or right)  / CMD + arrows (left or right) to move clips frame by frame.

Thanks Vishu,

Yes, I had already reset preferences (by holding shift + option keys when launching PPro.

The control + arrow keys do not function either; the movement I require is a smaller increment than a frame anyway, hense needing to dissable the magnetic function.

However, I am currently updating PPro v 22.1.2. I'll let you know if this fixes the issue.

Thanks anyway.

Lisa

Set the timecode display to audio units and zoom in.

Hi Peru Bob,

I changed the timecode to 'Show Audio Time Units', but this does not work either.

Anyone???
