I just experienced a serious issue with Premiere Pro 2025. After a crash, all of my saved project files and auto-save backups disappeared completely.
Everything was saved locally on my internal drive — both the main prproj files and the auto-saves — and after the crash, they are just gone.
I didn’t change any preferences or storage locations; Premiere was using its default save paths. This happened right after the app crashed (no power loss, no manual deletion).
This is a huge issue — it wiped out multiple days of work. It looks like the crash somehow triggered a file deletion or directory reset.
System info:
Premiere Pro 2025 (latest update)
MacBook Pro M2 Pro
macOS (latest version)
Files stored locally, no cloud sync

I cannot image Premiere wiping out all your files. I am inclined to think you have a faulty disk.
Won't do you any good now but saving a copy to a different drive is preferred.

The vast majority of times this happens, like Ann says, is because of a drive issue. "We" long-time users have seen situations that happened where either the drive was having instability issues, or the OS decided to lock down permissions to a folder tree, or the user had inadvertently done so, or say MS OneDrive decided to take over their folders and cut off Premiere's read/write permissions, so it couldn't "see" the stuff that was still there.

Thank you for your reply.
I working in Premier for over 7 years now, was alweys able to find trace of files whenever happening with Premier, but this time, looks like 3 month of work did not even happend. The program I tried to use like Time Mashine, just found things I binn, but not Premier files, or autosave files. Not sure if it sound like drive issue, all the rest of the files on my mac is fine. Please advice if any other way of restauration is possible maybe?

Do you have a file syncing service to cloud storage on your machine?
There are some PC users that lost things but it seems the files were in folders OneDrive or Dropbox had control of. Abd those apps when syncing local to online can at times delete files.
