Premiere Pro 22 not playing Fuji xT4 Video.

Premiere Pro 22 not playing Fuji xT4 Video. Up until the Premiere update a couple of weeks ago, it was 100% fine. Now I can open the video, but it plays for 1 second, then freezes and hangs and pretty much crashes Premiere. Other camera's videos are playing fine.

Sorry for this problem. We have fixed this in the latest beta builds and this is also on track to be available in normal builds. We will update you soon.

Meanwhile, you can download the latest Premiere Pro Beta build from Creative Cloud --> Beta apps --> Premiere Pro (Beta).

Please let us know how it goes in the beta build.

Hello,

I have the same problem with Premiere Pro 22. (Btw, I am using Fuji XT4 and M1 Macbook Air).
And with the help of this thread, I tried the Beta version. Yes, the problem seems to be solved in the Beta version but since it is a Beta version some of my plugins are not working on beta version. Because they are only compatible with the stable versions. So I had to switched back to version 15.4.1 unfortunatelty. So please make a stable version of the new Beta one. I really need that asap.

Hi! Same issue... Premiere Pro 22 isn't working in my case with the Fuji XT-4 footage.

Fuji XT-4 10bit 4:2:0 h265, f-log, 4k DCI 50fps

Macbook Pro 14", M1 Pro 10c/16c, 16gb ram

macOS Monterey 12.1

Premiere Pro 22.2.0

no way to play back the footage smoothly (even in 1/8 quality) - dropping frames, stuttering like crazy

Premiere Pro 15.4.1

perfectly smooth

I was so glad & sad to see this thread. I'm having the same exact issue with 22.1.2 version.  Everything seemed to be fine up until one of the latest updates. Nothing had changed except updating Premiere, hoping this gets fixed ASAP!

Videos playback perfectly in other apps, FYI.

Phil,

Sorry. Is this the 4:2:0 variant or 4:2:2 variant of the 10-bit file? Let me know.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the quick reply. It was the internal 4:2:0 one.

Since at least November 2021 and now in February 2022 and still no fix, really impressive.

Hey Paul,

Sorry for the frustration. I checked out your file in the current Beta version on the M1 and the performance is very good. That's a good sign that your issue will be fixed in an upcoming release. Hope that provides you with some relief.

Thanks,
Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Version 22.2 didn't fix it, at first it looked ok, but when I add a second clip it freezes. I openned a new project and freezes with the first now. Sorry but this is not a great support from adobe. Fuji X-T4 is not incomum camera.

I'm going to try the beta.

Same issue with my Fuji X-T4 H.265 videos on Windows 10 machine. I just updated to V22.1.1 which does not help.
Graphic driver (NVIDIA GFORCE 970) is up to date.
Either Premiere crashes right after importing a clip or reports frame problems first and crashes after a while.
With version 15.4.1, everything worked fine. Very disappointing!

Just try with 22.1.2 at M1 and is also not working. Going back to 15.4.1

Is a bit disappointing how a company as Adobe can fix this fast.

This make me change to Davinci Resolve Studio for editing video.

Hi Paulop,

Sorry about that. Try the 22.1.2 update, but do so after you have deleted media cache. To do so, first choose File > Close All Projects. Then Preferences > Media Cache. Choose to delete all media cache. Restart your computer and let us know what happens regarding performance.

Have wonderful holiday season and a nice New Year.

Thanks,
Kevin

Video plays fine if I shoot at MP4/H.264 AAC, but If I shoot at MOV/H.265 (HEVC) LPCM it freezes Premier Pro.

Also I'm using Windows 10

Whatever, before the Premeire update a couple of weeks ago, it was rock solid with all video formats.

I reinstalled Premier Pro 15. That works fine. Premier Pro 22 won't play MOV/H.265 (HEVC) LPCM
