Question

Premiere Pro always exports with glitches lately

Hello all,

Every single time I export a video in Premiere Pro 2024 lately I have had issues with glitches on the export. It's always in different spots for what seems to be no rhyme or reason (different frame rates/different scenes). No matter what I seem to do there is always a spot or multiple that export with glitches. I typically use Media Encoder but I have tried just exporting through Premiere to see if this fixed it. Mac OS is up to date and there were several updates to Premiere Pro 2024/Premiere Pro Beta/Media Encoder that have been updated and still every time I export there seems to be something wrong with the export. I typically use the GPU Acceleration Render but also tried switching to Software Engine only and this doesn't seem to help either. Everything looks and plays correctly on the timeline in Premiere but always messes up on the export. Has anyone run into this issue?

Thank you!

I too have been experiencing this which is creating serious delays in delivery.

I have the same problem! no matter how I try, it failed.

All i have in my project are only png sequences and audio clips.

I have try software and hardware rendering, Media encoder or direct export from premiere. Hold "ctrl" to clear cache before open premiere. re install different version of Premiere, reinstall windows, replace higher level graphic card. All failed!

Have anyone figure how to solf the problem?

I've had this issue loads over the past 4-5 months. A nightmare and very irritating. Especially when exporting videos that are 40 mins plus, having to scrub through and check the entire export. Very time consuming

I had to downgrade to Premiere 2023. There's a way to convert 2024 premiere files to 2018 premiere pro files. This allows the Premiere 2023 software to open it.

Downgrading the project to 2023 worked for me too. The first export was glitchless. Oy but the trouble I went through to get there.

This is happening to me as well. Has anyone found a solution to this? It really is frustrating!

Exporting it straight to the desktop fixed it for me.

I'm also having the same issue. Talked to Adobe agents who also couldn't figure it out.

  • Issue - Glitchy video while export. Also while doing rendering in to out where the glitch is happening. Tried clearing cache, reset preferences, uninstalling and reinstalling graphic card driver, copying sequence to new project, reseting workspace, audio input to none, restarting laptop but issue persists.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version number: 24.5.0 (Build 57)
  • Operating system - Windows 11 Pro
  • System Info: CPU, GPU, RAM, HD:
    • CPU: Intel i7 - 14700HX

    • GPU and Driver Version: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, Studio Driver Ver 555.99

    • RAM: 16GB

    • Hard Drive (and, if external, how the drive is connected: USB 3, Thunderbolt, etc.): HD 2TB connected with USB 3

  • Video format: Sony camera 4K Footage. File extension .mxf with 25fps
  • Workflow details: It is a multicam sequence. Created proxies. Export with proxies has no glitch. Export without proxies have glitch.
  • Steps to reproduce - (Very important!) I just edited the video like I edit any other video. On export, it had some glitches. Then I went to those areas and tried to put in and out points to see why is it creating an issue over there. The only thing that solved it was for me to do Right click and then render and replace the clip that was being glitchy.

I hope Adobe can help with this problem.

Hi hiteshg46895663,

Apologies for the inconvenience caused by the glitches with MXF files.

We’ve implemented a fix for this issue in the latest beta versions of Premiere (build 25.4.16 and later), AME, and AE.  This fix is expected to be included in the next official update of Premiere Pro, AME, and AE.
Thank you all for your support and collaboration in investigating this issue.

While we don’t recommend using beta versions for production work, the beta installs separately from the release versions and can be used if you'd like to test the fix. Please let us know how things look on your end after testing the beta.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support.

Thanks,
Mayjain

Same issue for me, I just tried to export around 1h10m of 4k footage just from my Nikon D850. It took nearly 2 hours to export only to find 15 second pauses/glitches throughout the entire video approx every 30 seconds. So frustrating to spend hours troubleshooting and re-exporting only to find the same issues on every... single...export....

Hi Kevin

This happened to me with the latest version of Adobe Premier on a 2023 Macbook Pro M3 16GB RAM laptop. When exporting 2 video files H264 to my SSD T5 cards they were both very glitchy. The image would freeze up and sound would drop out. The image would get stuck for about 15 seconds when it happened and then would return to normal. In a 30 minute video this happened about 8 times at random points throughout the video. When I exported both videos to the desktop instead they came out fine.

All footage is ProRes 422 shot on Blackmagic cameras in 1920x1080 and then exported to 4k. Not sure if this would be the issue but it always worked for me on my 2017 iMac.

Same problem here with glitchy video exports. Just uploaded it to Youtube only to find out there are a ton of glitches throughout the video.
