Question

Premiere Pro CC 2017 layout won't stay on 2 screens

I have Premiere Pro CC 2017. I am trying to use 2 screens on a mac. I manually shift some of the windows onto the second screen and it is fine, but then if I close or even just hide Premiere they will not stay - they snap back to the one screen. If I try and open a 2 screen edit from the workspace menu it refuses and all the windows open up over each other in the one screen. It is not a problem with the mac display - I have tried 2 screens with other software and it is fine and stable. Why won't Premiere load the 2 screen layout properly?

I'm having similar issues with Premiere Pro CC2017.1.2 on Windows 10.

So far, I'm seeing zero benefits of the latest version of Premiere Pro, only problems.  The Essential Graphics window doesn't even let me edit the text of any titles.

Yes. I downloaded an older version of Premiere Pro - from 2015 - and it's working fine with my screens. 2017 seems problematic to say the least

    • First change the layout what you want the save it as new work space. After this if you made any new changes in your layout, photo layout and hit save changes to this work space

    Here are three shots

Shot 1 is main screen layout. Shot 2 is second screen layout.

I then saved that layout. I closed premiere - then reopened it and Shot 3 shows you the main screen with all the windows in it

After creating your work space GOTO {window -> workspace - > Save as new workspace} It will save your workspace and opens in your next time PP open time

Thank you. But I have tried that again and again. And it doesn't. I close the programme, open it up again and all the windows are on top of each other in the single - main - monitor
