Premiere Pro Ignores Sub Folders When Importing Source Files

When I import a folder of source files that contain sub folders, Premiere Pro will ignore the sub folder if there is only one file in that sub folder and import the file only. This is a problem when sub folders are used for organization and may contain a different name than the source file it contains. Is there a preferance I am missing or is this truly a bug?

Also search the forum for bug and/or idea reports on this. It's a noted, major irritant for many users. May already be posted.
