So i used Premiere for a while but i got a problem since new version, i never encouter this in 2020 version but since like 2024 version the timeline started to be laggy but the playback looked good. I tried every ways to fix that by watching every reddit post that talk about that and adobe support forum but no succes... I tried to reset my workspace and changed it, the only solution is to undock the timeline but i don't realy like it to be honest so if someone can help to fix that without to undock the timeline it would be cool ! Thanks ! And too this never happend to other Adobe software only Premiere for right now. (and i can't downgrade because i got plugins that need the new version.)

If you media is 'long gop' h.264 type files and even worse if it's variable frame rate, you may be looking at normal playback with that footage. You can use a Proxy workflow to help with playback using something like a ProRes proxy format. Let us know on the footage.
You can use the free MediaInfo program to get info on your clips. Get the program from the link below and using the 'Tree' view post a screenshot of your clip info: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download

I've not heard of the 'undock the timeline' solution for anything. So the problem is the time indicator is jumping and not smooth as you playback?

Yeah it's something like that, if i undock it like it's a window it will no longer lag, but if i dock it to premiere it will the timeline bar will start to jump or if i try to move it will be bug. And this never happend in old version of premiere that i got (2020 didn't do it, but 2024 started to do it)

There have been a few with that problem. I'm not seeing it here. One thing you might check is your Audio Hardware preferences, and set Default audio input as 'No input', see if that changes anything.

I'll continue to look for threads that may be relative to you. I don't think your thread title is helping much. Lag usualy is when the media drags down the system and is annoying to work with. Using Proxies are a good solution for that.
Anyway, here's on thread I saw with a couple of chosen answers:
