Premiere Pro Not Working

New Here ,
Aug 07, 2025 Aug 07, 2025

Hello,

I have been experiencing issues trying to edit in Premiere Pro, it starts lagging, freezing and it shutting down completly, logging me out of the app, and even sometimes messing with my computer. It has not only been me experencing this, at my school when we use our student accounts for premiere pro the computers start to lag, freeze and the computer starts blinking. I have updated everything and it still does not work.

My school and myself has Windows. For my specific problem I have Windows 11 Home version 24H2.

Graphics Card: 128MB

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 155U (1.70 GHz)
Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.4 GB usable)

This problem hasn't happened on my computer because before hand I put things in the Premiere Pro timeline and it would not lag nor shut off. Now though it is giving me issues, I have version 25.3, would just like some guidance and help on this situation.

Premiere Pro requires a minimum of 2 GB of dedicated graphics card RAM:

What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

Alas, your machine is way underpowered to properly run 2025.

I went to best buy and they said my computer has the recommened qualities for premiere pro. They told me to reset the computer and it was working until I put it in full screen. It started blinking the completly closed the app. I do not know what is going on with the app.

You posted "Graphics Card: 128MB"

That doesn't meet specs.

What graphics card, and how much dedicated VRAM?

Yes, I went to Best Buy again to confirm about the graphics card but seems as I don't have one so he says it shouldn't effect Preimere. Premiere used to work on my computer, I am just not understanding why its not working now.

Apologies for a late response. I believe it was the same version, because I had used Premiere Pro fine in May, unless their was any new updates, I think it was the same version.

Hello, I have left premiere alone for a while, I then updated premiere to the new version 25.4 and it was working better until I got an error message that said to send report and when I tried to enlarge the screen it still blinked. I've tried everything.

Sorry about the issue. We'll need the system specifications to help you troubleshoot. Please press the Start + R key (you'll see the Run window). Type dxdiag and press Enter. Share screenshots of the System, Display, and Render tabs.
