Premiere Pro Running Slow when I open Existing Project Files

Whenever I open a project I have previously been working on in Premiere Pro, the app opens fine but then becomes really really really slow to an unworkable point. I do not know why this is it is only with projwcts that I have already started and it is almost like I need to start and finish a project in one sitting or restart the whole thing. When making new projects the program runs completely fine as fast as can be but when I save and close and re open it is very slow taking up 90% of my CPU Usage in task manager. I have a Core i9-9900K cpu, 16Gb of DDR4 3600 speed RAM and an RTX 2080 Super gpu in my system. Any help would be very much appreciated on why this is happening.

Hi AJ,

I am sorry about this. It sounds like you need to try some basic troubleshooting steps. Close All Projects and then choose Preferences > Media Cache and delete all media cache. Try also trashing preferences and see if you have better results.

Come back after trying these things if you have not already done so.

Thank You,
Kevin

I did those steps but it is still runnig very slow. After about 5 minutes of waiting with the project open it seems to get back to normal. Its like the program goes through a setup phase before it runs properly.

Would you happen to have a lot of files with Warp Stabilizer applied?

Might be worth a try to redo these effects. Warp Stabilizer has been improved in the latest version...
