Hello @t634hreww4tyu34f,
Thanks for the bug report. You might try choosing Preferences > Audio Hardware. Set the Default Input to > No Input. Let us know if that works.
Thanks,
Kevin

HI @t634hreww4tyu34f - Does this only happen when you are in the export tab? What are your cpu specs, and what version of Premiere are you on? What type of footage are you working with?

It's impressive how quickly you can respond! I'm using a CPU i7, GTX, and the latest version. I'm working with an .MP4 file and have read a lot online, but I haven't found anything similar to the issue I'm experiencing.
I hope you are able to view the footage.

Does this happen in the edit panel or only in the export panel? Are you using any effects or third party plugins?

Let me check on that. Yes, it's the same issue with the export panel! I’ve been dealing with this specific problem for almost a decade when using Adobe products like Illustrator and Photoshop. Sometimes Illustrator works perfectly, but as soon as I open Photoshop, Illustrator starts malfunctioning. This has happened across multiple computers and laptops throughout my studies. Interestingly, when I switch to a new computer, the issue initially disappears, but eventually, it returns. Right now, I’m facing the same issue with Adobe Premiere.
I’m not using any effects or third-party plugins in the video. The only thing in the video is the video itself.

Your uploaded video is a screenrecording of the export panel, that is why I was asking. Do you have this same issue when playing in the source panel? You mention that you have multiple adobe apps open at the same time. If you only have Premiere open does this issue still happen? Can you give exact specs for your PC. It sounds like you are running out of ram.

Can you give the exact processor you are using, which i9 processor? Can you also post a screenshot of your media file properties. Which GPU are you using? Are you using the studio driver for your gpu?

Hi, regarding slowdown in other Adobe apps, it does sound like you are running out of memory. The reality is, 32GB of RAM just isn't what it used to be. Maybe it was an accidental omission, but if your machine does not have a graphics card (and is running integrated graphics off of a chip) it'll be harder for your machine to play back video.
All that said - I've seen that specific "skipping playhead" issue once or twice, and at least in those instances it was tied to an audio hardware problem. To fix, try going to Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware, and changing your Default Input to No Input.

HI @t634hreww4tyu34f - Can you try updating to the studio driver for your gpu and see if that helps.
I'm not sure if you are aware but there was a major intel problem with your cpu, you can read about it here https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/intel-says-13th-and-14th-gen-mobile-cpus-are-crashin...
I know bios updates were rolling out but you should definitely check.

I am now trying this again but the same problem keeps occuring.
I want to know what other solutions are possible. It is not a CPU thing, it happens on all my computers. Previous owned iMac, Windows computers.

I do not see Tom's Hardware as a trustable source. Is it on any Intel website?

The Studio Driver doesn't seem to be working. I appreciate your help with this. I've updated most of the software by now, but I might have missed something that could resolve the issue. Do you know of any other solutions?
