Very simply put, Linear Color more accurately represents how the human eye works.

If you uncheck Composite in Linear Color, your transitions and opacity keyframes will behave more smoothly.

I was having a problem with a GH6 120fps project bugging out and not rendering properly.  Tried everything and almost gave up.  Unchecked and it helped...for the time being.  Davinci plays it smooth in real time, premiere forces a render in/out just to preview.  Frustraing, so thanks.  Also Jim Simon, maybe offer more information besides the cryptic "trust me" human eye thing, it comes off as snarky in that 90s computer geek sort of way lol.
