Problem with editing sound transitions

New Here ,
Jan 28, 2023 Jan 28, 2023

Hi,

I'm editing my voice over for videos but the sound is causing me some troubles! Between tracks it is making either a click sound or some distracting noise. I have tried to make transitions with the audio transition, but it dosn't always work. Then I wanted to try to make space in between and then closing the gap, but it dosn't close the gap. And sometimes when I actually succed in creating a smooth transition it is all gone when I save the project and open it up again the next day.

I hope this makes any sense?! Anyone who can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

Jeanette

Is it ok if you remove the audio 'repair' settings

Paste a silent audio clip into the empty space.

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Thanks again! It still dosn't change 😏 Perhaps it's something in my recordings?! I just get confused that it saves some of the changes but not all 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:

Is it possible that I'm having these difficulties because of my hard drive? On my Macbook I have 100 GB left and on my ekstern hard drive i have 350 GB left?!

Try removing the effect(s) applied to the audio and see if that fixes it.

Sometimes the denoiser effect can behave wonky.
