Program/Source preview is zooming on playback. NOT sequence settings.

I'm hoping someone can help here, as I've found nothing else online.

Usually my paused resolution is full, playback is 1/4 - however when scanning through the footage, or playing the clip - it zooms into the top left corner. If i pause the footage, it then zooms back out again. This happens in program preview, and in the source preview.

If I select playback resolution as full, it doesn't zoom. But if I put the playback resolution on 1/4 or 1/2 - it zooms in (even if I lower the paused resolution to match the playback resolution).

If I drag the marker along the timeline to see the footage, it also zooms in again - until I let go of the marker and it zooms back out.

Sequence settings match the footage. It doesn't happen once the footage has been rendered. I've tried 'scale to frame'. No luck with that either. Magnification is to fit. I've tried with a variety of codecs.

Can anyone help me with this?

(I've also tried re-installing Premiere, and checked drivers for updates)

Windows 10

Premiere 2017.1.2

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4900MQ CPU @ 2.80GHz

Nvidia GT730M

I've got the same problem with 10 Bit GH5 All-I HD material… Thanks!

Is that the 10-bit mov out of the GH5?

Have you tried using AME to transcode a clip to Cineform or DNxHR, and tried that? It's a big help with the 'standard' 4k or 10-bit from the GH5, don't know how much difference it would be with the All-I stuff. But would be very interested to find out.

For all of you on this thread, right-click your Program monitor to get the context-menu for the Program monitor, then in Playback Quality, select "High".

That should take care of this.

Same issue here. It happens to me when I try to edit my 10 bit GH5 footage. The playback of 8 bit footage works fine.
