Program Window Resolution

I am new to Premiere Pro, and when I upload a video to the program, and drag it into the software the 'Program' Panel has the video there, but the resolution is weird, and not to scale with my video. Image of problem below, I can scale the video down to fit in the resolution but the final  video when exported is a square sized video. And not full screen like I want. Images below of scaled down, and what I would like it too look like but its cut off.

Sure! I looked at another post and did what he said, took a little bit of tweaking but to my knowledge, you right click a clip from the Project panel where you import your clips, and click New Sequence From Clip, from there it should fix it, and u can size it to the correct resolution.
