Project window keeps duplicating itself.

I have created a number of Bins in my project window, B roll, Music etc

With  the Project window as the active window, as I navigate through the bins using the down arrow until I find the bin I want and then double click on it it opens as a new window, I am trying to avoid this so that it just opens the active bin in the project window.

Then if I use the Up directory folder it opens another Project window and I am just getting more and more duplicated windows?

I am sorry this is a newb question and I have searched but not yet found an answer

Edit>Preferences>General.

Hi Steven,

Open your project, click on Edit > Preferences > General and choose Open in place under Double-click.
