Proper Import of MP4 with XML files

Hello,
Sony FX3 produces MP4 clips with a sidecar file in XML format.
How can I properly import these clips into Premiere? Can I ignore the XML files?
I know this from MXF files that are imported into Pr via the Media Browser. Here I don't see the XML files at all, because the info is obviously already implemented.
