Proxies not working

Hey

since the newest Update, Premiere doesn't seem to be able to link proxies anymore. 

I just created them with media encoder (right click on my files, create proxies etc...) 

They are toggled on in my preview window and my bin claims they are indeed attached. but no matter if i toggle proxies on or off, premiere just shows me the original 4K files and not the proxies i just made.

Can someone help with that?

How do you know you are seeing the original and not the proxy files.

Difference sometimes is hard to see. Zoom in and toggle.

Do your proxy files have a watermark.

My proxies have a much worse resolution than the original files. Also I'm not able to view any playback without proxies on.

I've only had a similar issue once before when moving between computers. If you unattach and reattach the proxies does that help at all?
