Here’s a workflow you can use to isolate every instance of a specific word in your sequence using transcription:

  1. Turn off Sequence > Selection Follows Playhead.
  2. Make two copies of your original sequence.
  3. In Copy 1:
    • Open the Text panel and search for the word you want to isolate.
    • Click Delete, then choose Lift and click Delete All. This will delete all the instances of your search word, leaving gaps where those clips were removed.
    • Select all remaining clips in the timeline and Copy.
  4. In Copy 2

  4. In Copy 2:
    • Paste the copied clips into the timeline, overwriting the existing clips.
    • Press Option/Alt + Delete to delete the selected clips and close the gaps.

This gives you a sequence containing only the clips where the searched word appears.
