"Missing Media For These Clips:" Media there, locator can't see them

Saved my project, come back two weeks later and all the original media files are "missing." The locator can not see the files even though in the Mac Finder the files are there, in the same location, with the same name. Is there another way to link the file to the media clip?

Not sure why the Premiere file locator cannot find the file even though it is in the same place with the same name and I have not touched any of the files. They just do not show up on the file browser, though other files in the same folder do appear.
Restarted the Mac, still happening, restarted Premiere didn't help.

Is there an issue with the cache that is an easy fix? Please help I needed to add the finishing touches to this project tonight and this is messing up the timeline for this project big time.

So is it weird to answer my own question?

Turns out that the documents were stored in the cloud, and that they were not stored on the computer itself. I just needed to click the cloud icon by the files and they downloaded onto the Mac and then I could find them using the locator.

Right click on the missing media in the project panel and there should be an option to link it or replace it.

The problem was that the files didn't appear anywhere when I pulled up the locator window, even though the files showed up in the actual folder.
Turned out that they offloaded since I have iCloud turned on.

I have the same "missing media" error but I don't see a cloud or a way to see what's saved where. I have 11 projects that are saved to my laptop and it's saying it's missing, but it's there. This pisses me off because I came to Adobe after dealing with this exact same issue w smaller open source projects....

Have you tried right clicking the media in the Project Panel and relinking?
