Recent issues with 2020. Bizar lag behavior

Hello,

 

I am by no means an expert in Premiere Pro and hopefully, this won't be too complicated of a question. However, I recently started using 2020 Premier Pro and it has been working fine for the most part. However, recently my timeline has started to lag to the point where I can not edit. I use 4k footage shot at a bitrate of 100. I have been using proxies and recently when I add a clip to the timeline it is fine until I make one change to it (it could be as simple as cutting it) and then everything starts to lag. In order to fix this, I need to delete the clip and then re-add it. Once it is re-added it goes back to normal. Any thoughts on this issue?

Hi Matt,

 

We would need more info to troubleshoot the issue properly. Please let us know the system specifications (OS, CPU, GPU and RAM) and the media format/codec and frame rate. Also, have you tried clearing cache and checked if it's working properly?

Some of us are getting "mostly" good behavior, but with odd things happening from time to time. I've had a ton of say crashes on close the last few days even. So ... go over to the UserVoice system and post a detailed report of what's happening so the engineers and upper managers get good data.
