Recent Projects Not Appearing At Startup - Premiere Pro

Hello,

So starting today when launcing Premiere Pro I've noticed none of my recent projects show up as suggested options on the list anymore, instead just saying to create a new project. I'm used to seeing at startup a list of multiple recent projects I've worked on, which is helpful as I have separate projects/sequences for various clients I access daily. I obviously can just open a project manually each time, but it isn't preferred of course.

I know you can change the preferences At Startup to just open your recent projects all at once, but I just want the list to be present again to click on a project with ease. Definitely not a serious issue (or bug?), just a little annoying.

I've already restarted my PC, cleared cache, signed out and it still isn't showing my recents list when launching Premiere.

Any suggestions or is anyone else not seeing their recent projects too? Thanks!

The problem with the missing Recent Projects in the Homescreen has been resolved but the fix may take a day to propagate to your system (it is a result of how often the cache file is update that would then include the fix to be installed).  However you can manually delete a folder that would result in an immediate update.

The quickest way to get this fix is to do the following:

Manually delete the folder 'data' that is located at

Mac -   ~/Library/Caches/Adobe/CCX Welcome/

Win -    %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CCX Welcome\

This will clear the cache folder and will allow the fix to be immediately updated on your system.

Close Premiere Pro. Navigate to the preferences folder: Windows: C:\Users<username>\Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro<version>\Profile-<profilename> Rename the preferences file "Adobe Premiere Pro Prefs" to something like Old_Preferences. Restart Premiere Pro. It will create a new preferences folder with default settings.

in the case of Windows just went through the same issue and found a solution to it, just simply go to (This PC) and write the premiere pro project file extension which is (prproj) and you'll find all projects ever saved

This same problem just happened to me after I issued a Settings RESET and restarted Pr CC v 24.3 on MAC Sonoma.

I deleted the "DATA" folder as suggested but Recent Projects are still missing from Home screen.

I have seen this behavior occasionally.  fwiw, I keep my premiere pro projects on a folder on my dekstop called " premiere pro projects" sorted by last modified date and often just open the folder and double click on the  desired project file to launch premiere and the project.   That folder is mirrored automatically to dropbox (making sure the files are available "offline") giving myself extra security...    I also keep my autosave folder for each project on the appropriate media drive.  Been using this workflow without issue for many years...    This also allows me to work on various computers just carrying a media drive (or having a clone of my media drive) with me.  Even works (for the most part) between macs and windows machines...

Using the beta?

Nope, I am using the standard release, but I am up to date. It was still showing my recents list up until this morning and the last update I had was earlier this week.

Have not seen the public 2024 yet.

Known issue:

Delete folder > problem solved.
