RED Source Luts missing from Exports

I'm still running into issues with source LUTs in my R3D footage. The LUTs work while editing in Premiere, but when I export the project, the LUT isn't included in the export and all the footage is exported raw/flat. I'm exporting with the Media Encoder application.

Hi @brendan_2377 - This issue has been fixed in Premiere Pro Beta version 25.4.0 build 23 and later, and will be available in the next version of Premiere Pro version 25.3.0

Hi @brendan_2377 - I can reproduce this issue and will get a bug filed.

As a workaround, instead of using the “Creative 3D LUT” option in the RED source settings, please navigate to the Lumetri panel. Under the Settings section, use the Input LUT dropdown (within the Source Clip drop down) to apply your LUT.

For reference, applying a LUT via the “Creative 3D LUT” in the RED source settings does work correctly when exporting directly from Premiere Pro this issue appears to affect only when sending to AME.

What are the color management settings in Media Encoder?

Hi @brendan_2377 - I moved your post to it's own thread.  It sounds like you are seeing different results when exporting your project instead of a crash.  Can you give us some more information, please see this post: How do I write a bug report?

Screenshots would be great as well.

Sorry for the frustration.

It happens with Red R3D footage that has a custom LUT that should already be in the source file. I was having the issue where PP would crash if I tried to relink a LUT through the source file, but that is fixed. Today I experienced the new issues when exporting. Here are the steps.

1. Create timeline project where I insured that all the R3D files had the LUT selected in the source file.

 2. Open Media Encoder to export the timeline/project. This is the screen grab of the settings I'm using. They aren't any different than settings I've used for the past few years when exporting projects using R3D files for this type of project I'm working on.

 3. When exporting the project, it all works as it should, however, the final export doesn't have the LUT on the clips and the final export is raw/flat.

4. I figured out a work around where I have to remove the LUT from the source clips and create an Adjustment Layer to put the LUT on with the Lumetric panel. When I did that, the final export appears as it should with the LUT active.
