Reformatting Captions

I create captions for a 1920x1080 project with 50 characters and 1 line, then I want to convert that project to a 1080x1080 project. How do I change the characters to 35 and to 2 lines instead? I understand how to change the style easily, but I'm having to go back and do a lot of work to fix this and I'm sure there is another fix. I can redo the whole process, but seems like I'm missing something. Can anyone assist?

I would do my text corrections in the transcript, and then create captions separately for the formats.

If you had a lot of text corrections, I'd reduce the horizontal size of the bounding box and it should wrap onto 2 lines.
