Hi all,
I have Neat Video on a clip that I want to Render and Replace to pass off to another editor. When I try to Render and Replace, it replaces the file, but won't bake in any of the effects that are on that clip. Instead, it keeps the effects on new clip. Has anyone run into this issue before?
Render and Replace does not bake in effects. It just makes it easier on the edit process.
If you want effects baked in you will have to export the clip.

While not universal, it's also common for clips that will have several heavy effects to get part of the work done, then exported to a full intermediate codec, to replace the original media in the project. Especially if say one will be using Warp Stabilizer, Lumetri, and video denoising on a clip ... do one or two effect/s to final need look, export, then replace that clip in the project sequence with the exported clip to continue with the project.
Might be good in your multi-editor process.
Of course ... save-as of the project at various times always gives the ability to go backwards on something.

That is extremely frustrating. It is an amazing feature in After Effects, and should be able to work inside Premiere as well. I would like to point out the the Premiere help page states "The Render and Replace feature in Premiere Pro lets you FLATTEN VIDEO CLIPS and After Effects compositions, SPEEDING UP THE PERFORMANCE OF VFX-HEAVY SEQUENCES."
