Reset Color Correction & Grade

Explorer ,
Jul 17, 2019 Jul 17, 2019

Hello everyone,

I need to reset all the colors to the original source file and color grade it from zero again but resetting the values individually doesn't seem to work, it actually darkens the image. I just need a hard reset for all the clips on my timeline. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Remove the effects from the clip.  If it gets darker, it's because one of those effects was used to make it brighter.

Thank you for replying. Well, It doesn't look that dark straight out of camera, that's why I'm asking.

How you view the material matters here.  The only view you can rely on is going out a dedicated I/O device to a calibrated display.  You can't relay on the PP GUI for this.

So, have you got such a setup?  Using something like the following?

Intensity Pro 4K | Blackmagic Design

Having said that, make sure there are no Master Clip effects applied either.

In the Effects Control Panel you can use the reset icon for Lumetri effect to reset all to 'zero'.

Or within Lumetri panel, at the top, where you have the drop-down list for adding/selecting layers of Lumetri, to the right is a reset-arrow icon, click that.

Or Delete the Lumetri effect from the ECP.

Or select a bunch of clips in a sequence, and right-click "Remove Attributes" and within the following dialog, select Lumetri.

NO camera, not even high-end ones, have exactly accurate viewing in-camera. Premiere Pro is pure pro-level Rec.709/broadcast standards. If your monitor is set correctly, you will see near to correct values. If you are using a full pro setup, as Jim mentions, you will see EXACT correct values.

Otherwise ... not so much.
