ROLL EDIT problem on Clip Tail

I'm having a problem with ROLL EDIT, and feel like it started recently. When I try to trim the tail of a clip in either TRIM or ROLL EDIT mode, and the clip has empty timeline to the right of it, Premiere breaks out of ROLL EDIT mode after my first trim forward or back. This does not happen if I have an adjacent clip to the right. I can remedy this by right clicking the clip tail when selected, and chosing TRIM OUT.

At first I thought it was my settings, but it's happening on all the systems on my prodution. Is this a bug from a recent upgrade? Any thoughts would be apprecitated.

Thank you

Thanks Ann, I'll write up the bug report. Maybe I should have posted the question in Discussions as well, or leave it here?
