Rulers and Guides in Premiere Pro (13.1) vs. Nudging

Just wondering if the new snap to guides is in lieu of nudging text. It seems the nudging keys are already used for moving the playhead, but it seems to me that if a graphic is selected the nudge should go to the text, etc... snap to grid lines is a second cousin on this one.

Nudging and Snap in Program Monitor (to Guides) are unrelated. To use nudging, select at least one graphic layer and make sure either the Program Mon or the EGP is in focus, then use the keyboard-modified shortcuts like Ctrl+Left/Right or Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to nudge your layer(s) around.

    Myer Pj,

Nudging graphics is working perfectly for me when text is selected. Are you using the proper shortcuts? Shift + Ctrl (WIN) or CMD + Up/Down Arrow keys is what I have working. Let me know, man.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

    OK, thanks Kevin-Monahan and jstrawn

    I did not know that!

I've of course had my own keyboard shortcuts for a long time, and never inherited the new ones from the EGP. So it wasn't working for me when I tried it today, but from your messages I check for 'nudge's in the keyboard shortcut panel and found them all. Mine were still set for the legacy title tool which I haven't used since the EGP was available. I tested with the PP defaults and indeed it does work as described. Will add the new nudges to my keys.

    thanks very much.
