Sapphire Plug in crashes Premiere Pro and After Effects

I recently downloaded the Sapphire Plug-In by borisfx, but whenever I add it into my plug in directory, both Premiere Pro and After Effects crash at boot.

After removing the plug in again both run just fine.

Is there any known fix for this? I use both Premiere Pro 23 and After Effects 23.

You shouldn't be manually placing files. Run the installer from https://borisfx.com/downloads/
