Scaling from top left instead of from the center

I keyframed a zoom out on scale using the default motion but switched to transform(want that motion blur). Then it started zooming in and out from the top left instead of the middle. Anyone know how to address this issue??

Hi,

I have the same problem.

I just tried fixing it and found that putting 'shutter angle' in the Transform effect panel on 0,00 fixes it.

Not sure why but it does for me

I came here having the same problem, until I tried this easy fix that ended up working:

First of all, I do all my transforms using the transform effect instead of the motion tab at the top of effect controls

IF you have 2 seperate transform effects on one clip, try moving one above the other. This fixed the issue for me immediately.

The other solution someone else said here was nesting. I was about to try that.

Hope everyone gets this lil issue resolved.

A simple fix that worked for me. Use "Motion" rather than "Vector Motion."

Yess!! Removing the motion blur fixes the problem..such a wierd bug...almost everyone likes a little motion blur in their animations.

Ayo, I am having this same issue. I have tried adjusting the ancher point but it doesn't seem to change anything if the anchor point goes above x 960 or y 540, but it will change it if those values go below. At 960 x 540 as the anchor point and the position unchanged the scale affect is scaling to the top left corner. I have tried a lot, but nothing is working PLEASE SEND HELP!!!

The anchor point needs to be centered in the graphic. Hold down the ... Alt key? ... I think  ... and click/drag the anchor point in the Program monitor to the center of the graphic. With the right modifier key held down, it shows cross lines when you near the center point.

Center the anchor point and "let go" the key and mouse. As it zooms and rotates from the anchor point this should accomplish what you need.

@SGG CREATIVE,

What version of PR are you using?

We need a screenshot of the Effect Controls show all the position etc options. There may be more than one anchor point.

I am using the latest update as I am subscribed to Adobe CC.

There was the Motion anchor point and the Transform effect anchor point. Moving them didn't solve the issue, it just moved my footage, which is a useless mechanic because that is what the Position setting is supposed to do.

There needs to be a setting to move the center of your zoom to a desired point, or the anchor points should not move your footage but direct your zoom or rotation just like in After Effects or any other software.

I solved the issue by nesting the clip (I found the solution on Reddit after searching for more than an hour.) It zoomed to the center after that.

If there's something I may have missed, I am open to learning. Thank you.

Hi arnav ozc79531848,

Just to make sure: inside the Transform effect you can choose to scale Height and Width seperately or combine them together using the checkbox Uniform Scale.

If you don't get a scale position from/towards the center, the Anchor values must have been changed, either in the Motion effect or the Transform effect. Make sure both of these are set to 960 x 540 when editing 1080p (and the equivalent for 2160p).

Hope this helps.
