Select Zoom Level Keyboard Shortcut

Explorer ,
Nov 12, 2020 Nov 12, 2020

Hello everyone,
is there a keyboard shortcut to quickly control how much zoom to see in the video preview window? and while i'm zoomed in, what key should I press in order to be able to move around (just like space in Photoshop or After Effects)? I know there is the Hand tool but I want something I can press and release not keep toggling on and off everytime.

Thanks very much!

well on my fcp7 keyboard shortcuts shift-z will toggle between a zoomed in view and a view of the entire timeline.  Is that what you're looking for.? If so, post back and I'll look at my keyboard shortcuts and see what the description is.  There's also a shortcut to zoom in and zoom out in smaller increments...  I think I have it mapped to shift- and shift+ but not sure as I keep switching between a mac and a windoze machine...

That space and release is very handy in Photoshop. I wish PP had it. I mapped two keys next to each other (F3, F4) for selection tool "V" and "H" Hand tool. So, I can do something similar, but no toggle that I know of. I put those commands right next to each other zoom in/out, selection and hand.
