I have added a LUT to the drop down menu of Lumetri basic. You can select this and the lut is applied. If you quick export within Premiere the LUT is applied to the export. If however you send the export to Media encoder, the export does not apply the LUT. Can't imagine why this happens. If I apply the LUT from an external source rather than the drop down menu the LUT is applied when exporting via Media Encoder.
PP 23 and latest version of Media Encoder.
Do NOT put LUTs in the program's internal LUT folders ... that's not only not recommended, it will lead to really screwy behavior.
There are the two user-added LUT storage locations ... they do publish that in the help documentation. Not that it's a fantastic help file, this is there.
The Program{package} files/Adobe/Common/LUTs folder is the easiest for me. With subfolders I created as above.
After adding any LUTs to the subfolders, you have to relaunch Premiere, or any other of the three apps

That's an odd comment. One that I simply find no basis for.
I never expected that Premiere would be a simplistic itty bitty little thing that did everything for me. Anymore than any other major pro level app that I've used over the years.
But then, I've worked in dBase, the original Word, done Wordpress sites manually ... and a ton of others. Where yea, I had to study and work to learn how to do all the things the app could do for me.
The in-built LUT process is very clear, there's multiple options a user can choose, it is prominently discussed in the Help documentation ... and there's a ton of threads on here on how to use it.
And it avoids having the user muck about in the app's guts. Which ... is not normally considered good design.
You're welcome to see this anyway you wish, of course. As noted above, I never expect anyone to share my opinions whatsoever. Just understand ... that's your opinion, and not one that any other need agree with. But don't put things onto other people for disagreeing with you. That ... is rather rude, besides nonsensical.

I'm sorry but no. That's not an opinion. It's a fact. I appreciate you helping fixing Adobe's many mistakes and failures on this forum but I'm not going to say it's my fault to fix their negligence.

Hi @McKian,
Sorry for the frustration. I hope you saw my comment about the team being aware of the issue and that it is working on improving this feature. Thanks for understanding. Locking this topic.
Cheers,
Kevin
