Selection doesn't follow playhead

Hi All,

 

I have an issue with Premiere Pro 2023, for some reason the selection stopped following the playhead even though I have this enabled in Sequence menu.

 

I deleted the Media Cache and Media Cache Files, reset my preferences and even reset workspaces.

Working on Mac, Ventura 13.5.2

 

Did anyone have same issue and had it resolved?

    is the correct track enabled in the patch panel?   In the attached screen grab,, you can V2 is enabled and the clip in V2 is selected

    the selection in the patch panel is very powerful and impacts all sorts of commands (pasting, jump to next edit, etc.) ...   So if something isn't behaving the way I want, it's one of the first things I play with...
