I yearn for a feature allowing you to set the work-area to what you have selected on the timeline. I seem to remember that the feature was present in PP before, albeit many many years ago. It would save a lot of time.
If you select clips then hit / (forward slash) you get an in and outpoint.
Workarea bar is set on playhead alt+[ and alt+]
Double click will give the entire timeline.

Thanks but that doen't work for me neither via the "regular" slash (shift +7) nor via the numerical keyboard. I am on a German keyboard, maybe that is why?
Could try to set it up as a custom shortcut but don't find an option like "set work are to selected".
alt+[ and alt+] doesn't work. Again the German Keyboard. Would have to press alt + shift + 8 or 9 to get those characters and that doesn't work. Assigned F2 and F3 for that funktion, that works well.

Ah, thanks, that works and I can assign a shortcut, even export a video by setting the source range to Sequence in/out. But I have to choose this by clicking and scrolling to the option with the mouse, the default is Work Area.
