Hello. I am just trying to edit a audio/video file by trimming the errors out of the song/files and then rejoinging the files back together.
I have watched so many tutorials and read answers but I just dont know. Do i use the RAZOR tool to snip it? on each side? then delete what is in the middle? then use which tool to drag both pieces back togehter?
Can anyone explain in simple steps or direct me to a link that shows it easily?
Please Please thank you thank you.

Hi Eve,
Basically yeah, you got the basics. Razor Tool (C keyboard shortcut) makes a cut. And the Selection Tool (V keyboard shortcut) makes a selection and moves. It's up to you if you want a jump cut, or to cover your edit with some kind of b-roll.
You can use websites like LinkedIn Learning/Lynda.com, Pluralsite, Adobe's getting started videos, or other various courses for learning Premiere Pro. There's a ton of choices out there.

Hello thank you for the reply. Is there a specific video link you can direct me to? honestly i have watched and read so many and i cannot find anything about a basic cut , delete, rejoin the timeline edit.
Also, once i cut with the Razor tool and select with the selection tool, how do i delete the unwanted piece of file?
thank you...

Sure thing. Personally, I like LinkedIn Learning/Lynda.com. I've been using it for years, both when I want to learn new software, and when I want to watch more advanced stuff. Even though this is a paid subscription, you can still use a month free trial, either with LinkedIn Premium, or Lynda.com (your choice), and still watch the entire course within that month.
Anything that has "Essential Training" in the title generally assumes that you're starting from scratch. For Premeire Pro, it looks like this is the latest "Essential Training" series: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/premiere-pro-cc-2019-essential-training-the-basics-2/. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 are the two chapters that specifically address your questions.
Also, once you make the cut and then the selection, you simply hit Backspace or Delete to remove that piece of the clip.
