Slideshow output does not work correctly in Encore

New Here ,

Hi everyone

I am trying to built both a blu-ray and a DVD with a slideshow in Encore CS6. The slideshow has music on it and the slideshow is fit to audio duration (3 audio tracks). On DVD, it works just fine. However, in Blu-ray, when I input the disc in my computer, the slideshow is shown, but it does not fit to the audio duration. In my Blu-ray player however, the music is played entirely, but only the first slide is shown for the whole length of the slideshow. Also, the timecode is not correctly shown. While my slideshow should last for about 10 minutes, the timecode only shows 3:21 and hangs about 3 seconds per second shown in the time code. Can anybody help me?

Thank you!

Computers playback DVD/Blurays using software emulators. In various testing over the years, I found even the better generalist players (VLC, Windows media player, etc) to do a poor job of playing back the more sophisticated DVD/BD options, like slideshows, various menu options, etc.

My goto became Total Media Theater, and then when it was no longer available, PowerDVD. It  would more correctly emulate the hardware operation of a settop player.

Sometimes performance can be improved by using different methods in the BD creation, but not usually. Since your disk is working in a BD player, I suspect there's not much you can do other than trying to simplify.

What are you using on the computer to play the BD?

Stan

or can you just edit the slideshow as a premiere sequence and use that?  I know it's not ideal, but might be your best workaround.

Did you make the BD from the dvd project.

If so, its best to setup a seperate project.

I too only use Power DVD.
