Some clips not exporting (black screen)

New Here ,
Mar 30, 2022 Mar 30, 2022

Im creating a video with clips from multiple videos. All of the video clips render and export but this one. When exporting, it shows up black in that section. Im also getting a lot of "Error retrieving frame" errors. I've tried changing the Video and Rendering playback to Software only - that hasn't helped. I've rendered the work area - that hasn't helped. I'm at a loss.

Can you please share your system info? Like OS and version, CPU, RAM, GPU vRAM, Pr version? Thanks. Also a screen grab of your issue will be helpful.

Could you give us the details of the container and codec of the clips or the clip that is causing the error? If it's an .mp4 you could try transcoding that single clip (the one with the error) with Handbrake.fr and then replace it because possibly this clip is corrupted. However, it would be a good idea for you to show us what is happening to get a better idea of the issue.

Thanks for the system details. Can you check if there's an update available for your GPU driver? Also, which device was used to record footage?

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card (which i didn't see listed in your system info post), directly from the manufacturer's website (and not Windows Update).

If it's an Nvidia card, make sure you use the Studio drivers and not the Game Ready drivers.

Try deleting cashe
Try to create a copy of that file and replace.

Or try to re-encode it using handbrake
