Some MOGRT's suddenly don't render in the program viewer.

Update: it looks likely that this is related to a font bug in PPro 23.6 that is fixed in 24.1 (which we don't have yet for IT policy reasons). I'm not sure what changed, but I opened the project late yesterday and now when I try to use the problem MOGRT's they DO render, but PPro flags them as having missing fonts even though the fonts in question are installed (and are working in other MOGRT's). The bug is described in this thread:

-------------------------------------------------

I'm primarily an AE designer who builds MOGRTs for a group of editors. Recently I got a report that some of the MOGRTs I built which previously worked fine have been turning up blank (as in the entire image is transparent alpha, no graphics rendering whatsoever). I have confirmed this happening on my own install of Premiere. This is not simply a user error in creating the MOGRT, as they rendered fine when intiially exported from AE/imported into PP, and when they are exported from AE again as a new MOGRT the re-exported template also renders fine in PP.

Obviously I can fix the problem in the short term by re-exporting everything, but I also don't want this lurking out there and potentially screwing up projects for the editors I support, so I really want to find out what is causing this and if it can be prevented, or at the very list if it can be fixed when it happens without having to export a new MOGRT each time.

Things I've tried:

- checking track visibility switch (it is on, and other media on the track renders fine)

- switching to Mercury Playback only (this had no effect)

- clearing caches, including at startup (this had no effect)

- making sure the versions for AE and Premiere match (both are 23.6.0 for Windows, AE build 62 and PP build 65 if that matters)

- making sure the MOGRTs aren't just scaled wrong or offscreen (they are not)

- extracting and opening the MOGRT in AE, then re-exporting a new .mogrt file, reimporting to PP, and adding the new MOGRT to the timeline (the new MOGRT does render correctly, but this is a tenuous fix since it doesn't offer any insight into preventing this problem in the future and doesn't fix already-assembled projects).

I have seen others reporting similiar problems over the years, but there don't seem to be any solutions offered (except in simple cases involving user error). Are there avenues I haven't listed above that might be worth exploring?
