Source monitor starts playing when marking out point

When I'm marking in/out points of a clip in the source monitor, pressing "o" from a stopped CTI is starting the CTI playing again.  Is this a setting I'm missing that might have been changed in an update, or is it a bug?

Happening in Version 24.5.0 (Build 57) on Windows 10 machine.

I reported on this last year in this thread:  https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/can-t-mark-in-or-out-on-the-source-monitor-after-la...

It seemed to have stopped for a while, but is back in full force again...and as all of the most annoying bugs, it's inconsistent.  For example, here you can see it NOT happen on the first out point I set, but then happen FOUR times in a row, and when I right click and select "clear in and out" it ALSO starts playing again.

Does anyone else see this issue?

Could you have an intermittently stuck shift key, try pressing shift+o to see if it gives the same action.

Just bumping this again.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Can anyone guess why I might be having this issue?
