source timecode not working in new Timecode Window

I like to create a sequence of source clips and load it into the source monitor.  You can then "open sequence in timeline" so you can visually scrub through the source sequence when selection your in/out points.

Oddly, the timecode window does not display the source timecode when scrubbing through a source sequence, like it does when scrubbing through a program sequence.  For example, if I add a line for V1 source timecode in the timecode window, it doesn't work when scrubbing through a source sequence, but does work when scrubbing through a program sequence.  I'm talking about the timecode affiliated with a clip in a sequence, not the master timecode of the sequence itself. 

Why doesn't clip source timecode work in the new timecode window for source sequences?

It only works if the sequence is a Program sequence.  When viewing a sequence that is loaded in the Source window (and has been "open sequence in timeline"via the wrench for the Source window) the Timecode window does not update timecode for the clips in the source sequence ex V1, A1, etc.  It only updates the Master timecode for the sequence itself.  I'm using a sequence as my source but I want to see the timecode for the clips in the source sequence.

I can add a TC overlay to the source window and see the TC for the clips in the source sequence V1, A1, etc.  But I cannot manually jump to a particular clip TC by typing it in. If I match frame to a clips TC it will load up that particular clip, but that's not what I want.  I want to type in a TC for a clip in my source sequence and jump to that point in the sequence, keeping the sequence loaded in my source monitor.

This is about using a SEQUENCE in the source monitor instead of a single clip.  Many editors prefer to do this because it's much faster to locate source footage without having to change the clip in your source monitor every time.  You just scrub through the sequence in your source monitor and select in/out points.  I've been waiting years for Premiere to get a decent TC window.  The new TC window is a big step in the right direction, but is still only partially functional if it only works for the Master TC for a sequence in the source monitor.

Also, the TC fields that live in the actual Source monitor should be customizable - instead of just the Master TC on the left and the IN/OUT TC on the right, it would be better if the editor could choose what TC goes in each field.  For example, I could choose to display the V1 clip TC instead of the Master TC on the left, and I could manually type in a clips TC to jump to, without replacing my sequence in the Source monitor with a clip.  I hate to say it, but this is all basic TC stuff in AVID.  Cudos to Adobe for continuing to improve Premiere, but it's pretty frustrating to have issues with something as basic and crucial as working with timecode and navigating to your desired TC.
