Hello, we are a French society of video making, and we use your product every day.
Since the new update of premier pro, the Speech to Text locally we have a problem because he is very less performance in French than the connected version. Is there a possibility to have the choice to use the local or the cloud Speech to Text ?

Hi there, thank you for posting your issue! We don't have a way to reconnect you to the cloud transcription. Could you tell us more about the problem? What is the local transcript version doing that looks like the worse performance? We'll do what we can to help!

OK thanks for your return, the performance is less good at French for :
- The cut of sentence who is very less accurate, so we have to split more sentence than before to have a good subtitle.
- Also, the precision for the chosen word and the grammar is less accurate too.
So sometimes even if it takes 1 minutes of time, we prefer to use the cloud transcription to have a better result and pass less time to modified after...

I also noticed this. In fact, the AI is very bad with french. We are in Quebec, so our French is different then the French spoken in France.
The Ai is very good with English, but its not accurate at all in french. How can the AI learn better french ? If its not connected to the cloud, i guess it cant learn anything.

Hi from Paris,
Dear community,
It's October 2025 and three years later, the French transcription is still as bad as it was in previous messages..
I recorded a conference in Paris last month.
The transcription of English speakers is correct.
The transcription of the French speakers, at the same podium under the same sound recording conditions, is somewhere between bad and absolutely delirious!
What are the Adobe Première Pro teams proposing for correct French transcription?
Sincerely yours
Bernard

Dear Kevin,
Thank you for your quick proposal.
To give you a better answer, I wanted to make a copy of an extract and doing so, I understood the problem.
My video of the full conference includes speakers in English and others in French.
I asked for the transcript in French, the result is correct in English but delirious in French.
On the other hand, if I cut my video to keep only the French sequences, the transcription becomes correct.
So having a bilingual video is the mistake I made.
And users should be advised to process only one language at a time.
So my first post was too quick and I apologize for that.
And Kevin, thanks to your additional request, the problem has been solved.
Thank you, Kevin!
