I bought a Lenovo Yoga Pro 9 a week ago, specifically for video editing. Immediately upon opening Premiere Pro it gave an error: "unsupported video driver". I updated all drivers and all general Windows updates, but the error message remained. I continued editing without any problems for a week, until today: video playback is super slow; the clips and media are loading very slow; loading text layers the same. Sometimes I have to wait 5-20 seconds before it responds to the simple command of spacebar. Sometimes when I press pause it just continues playing sound but not video.
I changed the battery settings to maximum performance, and it's connected to the charger all the time. This didn't help.
Then I updated drivers again, then the error message disappeared, but the problem remains. Everything related to video playback is super slow.
Could it be that Premiere Pro is detecting the wrong video driver, since there's apparently 2 installed?
Driver 1: Intel Arc Graphics
Driver 2: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060
Working memory on Driver 2: 8GB
RAM: 32GB
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 9
I cannot imagine that it's the computer's fault since it has all the high-end specifications needed for video editing. (Btw I'm not editing very heavy files.)

Did you update the Intel driver directly from Intel and the NVIDIA driver directly from NVIDIA?
Please post a screenshot of the error message.

What are the hard drives (how many, what kind, what is on each, what capacity, and how full)?

The inbuilt hard drive is 1TB SSD, it's where the cache files are stored. This one is almost completely empty. And I work with an external hard drive: Seagate 2TB (2021). This is where the media files are stored. This one is half full.

Sorry about the poor experience. We can get this checked. Let us know the specifications of the media files you are working with (format, frame rate & frame size) & if any effects have been applied. Please also share a screenshot of the Audio Hardware preferences window in Premiere Pro. We're here to help, just need more info.

I'm mainly working with 2 different type of video files; each in their own track. I didn't apply any effects, apart from a Dissolve (dip to white) effect between two clips.
The first:
.mp4
3840 x 2160
25fps
I have 5 clips of these (coming from the same camera, same shooting session), with a total length of about 45 minutes, and no more than 4GB each.
The second:
.mov
1920 x 1080
60fps
This is one big clip of about 45 minutes of about 1,5 GB. It was a screenshot recording using OBS.
Apart from those 2 I'm using some two short cover footages, downloaded from Instagram:

You need to update the Intel driver
Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.

The problem, in your case, is an OEM-customized Intel driver whose latest available version is several months old. And your laptop's OEM failed to update its drivers to a newer version (in all likelihood, the only available driver from Lenovo is a hardware launch-day driver). Worse, attempting to install a generic Intel graphics driver (available directly from the Intel Web site) results in either a warning message or an install error.

I'm not sure I 100% follow. If I understand you correctly, you mean that there are newer drivers out there that aren't findable on the internet? How could I access those then? Or where can I find them?

I don't know about the specifics here but can you update the Arc driver from Intel? Here's a link to their site and hopefully you can find the right version here:

I think that what RjL190365 is saying is that the driver needs to be customized by Lenovo to work properly, and that Lenovo hasn't customized a recent driver.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I had contact with Lenovo support and I asked them about this, but the employee said he couldn't tell if this was the case.
